My favorite photos from a family trip to Japan in the summer of 2001. This was a nostalgia journey for my mom, dad, and I, revisiting sites we hadn't seen since our accompanied tour to Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station in the late '60's. For Kelly and Lukas, it was all new.

My son's kendo practice sword made it out of Japan and back to the US with only a momentary pause at the Osaka airport security checkpoint that June.
